City Rising: Show and Tours, 5–8pm | FREE | Join us for extended gallery hours and enjoy special docent-led tours, at 5:15, 6:15, and 7:15 pm, of the new exhibition City Rising: San Francisco and the 1915 World’s Fair. Take a journey inside the exposition to see what fairgoers would have encountered 100 years ago in the grand palaces, exotic foreign pavilions, and the amusement midway known as the Joy Zone.

Third Thursdays Live at The CJM: Red Meat, 6:30-7:30pm | $5 after 5pm | Red Meat trace their musical roots to the hard honky tonk songs of Iowa, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Ohio, as well as the rock music of the 60s and 70s. Red Meat perform in conjunction with Hardly Strictly Warren Hellman at The CJM.

Exhibitions, Screenings, & Filmmaker Talk, 5–8pm | FREE | Enjoy Free Admission to our current exhibitions. Join us at 6:30pm for Tanzanian-Korean-American filmmaker/activist Eliaichi Kimaro’s documentary A LOT LIKE YOU (PBS version) and Nigerian-Nordic-American Faith Adiele’s documentary short A JOURNEY HOME. Screenings followed by a discussion with the filmmakers.
